From idea to reality

A garden pool is a major project that calls for careful planning. The process starts with a ground investigation and a technical design, followed by an excavation permit and consultation with the neighbours.

The process

  1. Design — placement, size, type (concrete, liner or prefabricated)
  2. Excavation — typically 1.5–2 metres deep
  3. Construction — casting the concrete or installing the pool shell
  4. Technical installations — pump, filter, heating and lighting
  5. Finishing the garden — paving, surfacing and planting around the pool

Timeline

A typical pool project takes 8–16 weeks from start to first swim, depending on the type of pool and the weather.
